The Cincinnati Law LLM in the US Legal System program has successfully enrolled attorneys from more than 20 countries including Botswana, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, India, Uganda, Estonia, France, the Republic of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Romania, Peru, Ghana, the Philippines, Brazil and China. Graduates launch careers in New York and right here in Cincinnati. Others return to their home countries and practice or teach law.
The LLM program is continually developing additional services and opportunities to make a full range of law school experiences available to students. Our students create a US style resume, practice interview techniques, and hone elevator speeches. LLMs are encouraged to network at events organized by Cincinnati Law. We are able to connect LLM students with individual attorneys in the Cincinnati area for shadowing and one-on-one conversations about life as an attorney in Cincinnati.
Like all current law students, LLM students have extensive opportunities to develop practical skills and gain work experience opportunities. LLM students are getting real-world exposure by enrolling in our legal clinics (including the world renowned Urban Morgan Institute for Human Rights, publisher of the “Human Rights Quarterly,” and the Ohio Innocence Project, working to free those in prison who are innocent) and in externships.
Students can choose their own focus of study and choose from all courses available at Cincinnati Law. We also offer a Business Law Concentration.
See our website for more information and to learn how to apply.
